Shipping container arrived, shipping updates, firmware updates
Happy Wednesday Everyone,
Our week this week was dominated by our second shipping container arriving. We got everything offloaded, organized and inventoried and we’re excited that it appears that everything we expected to arrive is here and accounted for.

As a part of the organization process we’ve revamped the packing squiggle into a packing doughnut which Anna is very excited about. Overall it does feel like a better system.
This week was a little slower in terms of packing and shipping kits while we were unloading and inventorying everything, but we’re back at it this week and continuing to ship as quickly as we can.
Shipping Update

Batch 2 - Shipping is in progress! We are a little behind schedule for Batch 2 and are still in the process of packing Batch 2 kits this week.
Batch 3 - Shipping will likely begin on the 15th now. Unfortunately unloading the shipping container and restocking really threw a wrench in our productivity this week. We are also waiting on the new delivery of encoders and PCBs which were not in the shipping container. They will arrive tomorrow or friday!
Website Pre-Orders - Shipping will begin at the end of the week of April 15th and continue during the weeks of the 22nd and 29th as well.
Local Pickup
If you would like to sign up for local pickup, please email Anna at anna@maslowcnc.com. She will email you with directions when your kit is ready for pickup. Here is a general pickup schedule

Anna sent out an email today to those of who expressed interest in our In-Person Build day on the 13th with details. If you didn't receive that email, and are interested in building with us, please send Anna an email. We are also planning to host a second In-Person Build Day for those of you in Batch 3 and pre-orders, though the date is not yet finalized.
Firmware updates
This week’s firmware update is released, and as always you can find the latest version (v0.68) here: https://github.com/BarbourSmith/FluidNC/releases
This week's weekly update has two big changes and lots of small incremental improvements.
This week we got some big improvements and bug fixes for the math which computes the anchor point locations during the calibration process. It will now converge more reliably giving better answers all the time, but especially in cases where people were seeing very low calibration values like 0.02.
We have also added a configuration menu to make it easier to set up the calibration process. No editing of files needed. This is part of an ongoing effort to make the calibration process more user friendly.
This update will also remove some annoying and not informative error messages and make it so that at the end of the calibration process your values are automatically saved...again as a part of simplifying and streamlining the calibration process.
We know that with all the changes to the calibration process we need to make an updated walk through video. Look out for that in the near future.
